Wanderlust Week 3 2021

It's January 25, 2021. 5:49 PM.  Mountain Time.

*Sigh*

The above photo is my interpretation of  Kasia Avery's Week 3, Wanderlust 2021 Class, "Reflections: Celebrate Your Reflection".

THANK YOU KASIA AVERY for this prompt.  Although it was challenging and took much time to feel somewhat "done", I appreciate the challenge and also, I appreciate the educational yet accepting atmosphere your create in your virtual classroom.

Just snapping a selfie from my cell phone and drawing that impromptu face of mine was...fun and somewhat liberating, after all.

I like to get all dolled up and dress up for such occasions.  If I knew it was "Family Photo Day" you better believe I would have on my eyelashes and my lipstick!  Along with a flattering shirt and the right bra! LOL.  But for this page, I just snapped what I actually looked like in the moment.  Baseball shirt.  Denim Apron.  Glasses.  No makeup.  No 3/4 turn.  Just a straight, head on pose.

Celebrate Your Reflection asked us to embrace a word which holds merit for us this year.  The first word I thought of was, "Confront".  Am I a confrontational person?  No.  But I'm not sure avoiding conflict is a good trait either.  This year, I want to confront many things head on: health concerns, unhealthy mental patterns, familial  mysteries, my dreams and heart's desires.

If I confront my reflection now, I bet I'll be more proud of my reflection next year.

Thank You for stopping by as it has been YEARS since I posted here!!!

Much Love to You & Yours this 2021, or whichever year in which you may stumble upon my little blog.

Love,

Buttercup xoxo
