Introducing "Little Dreamer" by TGF

Do you remember when you were little and you would wish upon the stars? You would dream, imagine and hope. My wish is that you honor the little girl inside of you. Break your diet and eat ice cream :) Take a break from your paperwork to jump on a trampoline. Slow down. Sit on a bench and watch the stars put on a show.

I must admit I am so tickled with Little Dreamer by The Greeting Farm because it is BEYOND cute. This set is inspiring and reminds me of the little kids we once were and still are. The sentiment and images remind me of the support I was lucky enough to receive as a child. The encouragement to follow my bliss, believe in myself and keep trucking along. Being a "Sign Artist" in the day and a stage actress by night, I appreciate any positive feedback and encouragement I can get :)

Know Little Dreamers that Great Things Will Happen! Hard work and a positive attitude go a long way :)

"I'm a great believer in luck, and I find that the harder I work, the more of it I have. " ~Thomas Jefferson

SUPPLIES:
Little Dreamer by The Greeting Farm/colored in copics/diamond stickles/3 felt button hearts/peach embroidery thread/black marker for hand drawn flowers/black cardstock card/ornate #5 frame by sizzix/walnut stain distress ink for edges/a white marker for the hair which I then colored over with brown copics

*There will be a hidden prize on one of the DT member's blog. Winner will be announced tomorrow during another preview.

Thank You Lovely Little Dreamers for Blogging by!

Have a fabulous day and don't forget to DREAM BIG!

"Naughty or Nice" Preview by The Greeting Farm!!!

Hello EVERYONE! Hope you all had a very MERRY Christmas and that it was full of magic and memories!

I am very excited to let you know that I am the January Guest Designer for Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm!!! Yay! I am so grateful to share and create with you all!

We are beginning January previews today with some HUGE news and fun announcements...are you all ready? First and foremost, we have some HELLO's and Goodbyes.
The Greeting Farm would like to thank Melyssa and Randi as their terms with TGF are ending and we wish them both well! From now on, TGF Farmers terms will be 6 months long instead of one year and although it probably won't make it any EASIER to say goodbye to our talented designers, we are excited about this!

Also saying goodbye this week are the FABULOUS members of our Critter Crew. Not because their terms are up, but because the Critter Crew itself will no longer be considered a 'team' of TGF. While we will surely have a cute critter by Marina from time to time, we will no longer be releasing these on a regular basis and it is with an ENORMOUS amount of gratitude that we say goodbye to such a WONDERFUL team of designers! Thank you all so much!
Well, now that we've gotten the sad part out of the way, we have THREE NEW FARMERS to welcome to TGF and a new Guest Designer that we are THRILLED about! Please welcome:
THREE NEW FARMERS and please welcome

BUTTERCUP as our January Guest Designer! (<-- that's ME!
!! :)

TONS of excitement going on around the FARM! And as if that werent enough?
Check out our first preview, a Cheeky Cherry "NAUGHTY or NICE" set!

I just LOVE the Cheeky collection! And this Naughty and Nice set is super sassy! She is colored in Copics, Distress Inks and
diamond Stickles per usual! :)

Sharing Tricks for the Tiddly Inks & Simply Betty Stamps Blog HOP!!! :)

Hello Bloggertons! Welcome! I am happy to share and urge you all to participate in the Trick or Treat Blog Hop using Simply Betty Stamps AND/OR Tiddly Ink's Images!!! Check out Simply Betty's Blog for more details of the blog hop and to see the list of the Design Team Members for inspiration!

Now, onto what I made!
I just LOVE Gigi. She's cute, flirty and definitely hiding something! This girl has secrets. Even so, she is a fun fit for this little birdhouse card! Her bat hotpants make the boys go batty!
Here's the TRICK I would love to share with you all:

Explore different shapes when making a card or project by downloading FREE TEMPLATES such as the birdhouse one I used from here. Once you print and cut out your template, use your favorite papers or even fabrics! Mix and match! Paint, cut, glue, distress ink! It's up to you! Also, don't be afraid to use black and white patterns, then use your makers/pencils/inks to add your own color choices (I used Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Walnut Stain Distress Inks).

There are many great free templates at Stampington's site! (Click on the "Tempting Templates" link on the left of their homepage) Explore and share as you wish! :)
Supplies: Gigi by Simply Betty Stamps, "Chills & Thrills" by Cosmo Cricket "Haunted" clear stamps/Black and White Paper by 7Gypsies & Pink paper by Basic Grey "basil/gah-2132"/Yellow hand stitches/Colored in Copics/Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Walnut Stain Distress Inks/Bat Charm/Diamond Stickles/Green Flower/Red Ribbon/Birdhouse Template from Stampington.

Thank You so much for stopping by! I hope you found it both Chilling & Thrilling! :)

Accordion Mamacita

Hello Everybody!

I am excited to share this little Paper Clay Creation I made in the image of my Mother as a toddler musician. This image is inspired by a picture I have of her when she was four years old, sitting on a couch in the 1950's, playing her accordion to her heart's content. The joy on her face in this candid shot makes me laugh every time.

Happy Birthday, Mom! And enjoy your custom-made-by-me-doll. :)

Supplies: "Accordion" found from doll store, all else made by me :) using Creative Paper Clay and Acrylic Paints.

"If Music Be the Food of Love, Play On" ~Shakespeare

P.S. My mom's teeth look nothing like this doll's teeth :) The magic of imperfection when art doesn't quite imitate life :) Still cute though, right?

Thank You & Goodnight/day :)

Love,
Buttercup xo

Halloween Tree Ornaments with Tiddly Ink's

Hello & Welcome :) Sometimes it's best to keep things simple. With images as cute and interesting as Christy Croll's for Tiddly Ink's, it's easy to let them, these characters do the talking :)

Pictured are 3 Halloween Tree Ornaments I made with "Alice", "Gothic Lady" and "Halloween Avenger" Digi Stamps by Tiddly Ink's which you may find here.

Our Challenge this week is to create any project you would like, using your Tiddly Ink's Digis, in a HALLOWEEN THEME. Yay for Halloween! I just love October. The feel in the air, the change of the leaves (if we had any leaves to see change) and the excitement of the days to come when we get to dress up like good and bad boys and ghouls!

Enjoy looking around, stay awhile on my little blog if you like. But most of all, know I am grateful for your gaze :)

Mr. Skellie: A Paper Clay Project :)

Today I enjoyed a super fun "Spooky Skellie Sculpting Workshop" with the Polka Dot Pixie. Pictured here is my very first Mr. Skellie. Below you can see him with one of his good friends made by a fellow artist :)

The instructions are top secret but I do urge you to play with Paper Clay! I hope to make many more creatures and critters to share with you. When I come up with my own recipe, you better believe I will share with you all!

Jenny Adams Hernandez, The Polka Dot Pixie herself, assured me it's not about perfection. It's about character. So have fun making things out there! Learn to love your mistakes and make magic out of them!

Have fun. Have a sense of humor. And dance with a cane. After all is said and done, we're just a bag of bones. Or ashes. Or diamonds. Or mummies. So, until then, EXPLORE & Enjoy the journey. And Thanks for being apart of mine :) xoxo Love, Buttercup :)
