Sharing Tricks for the Tiddly Inks & Simply Betty Stamps Blog HOP!!! :)

Hello Bloggertons! Welcome! I am happy to share and urge you all to participate in the Trick or Treat Blog Hop using Simply Betty Stamps AND/OR Tiddly Ink's Images!!! Check out Simply Betty's Blog for more details of the blog hop and to see the list of the Design Team Members for inspiration!

Now, onto what I made!
I just LOVE Gigi. She's cute, flirty and definitely hiding something! This girl has secrets. Even so, she is a fun fit for this little birdhouse card! Her bat hotpants make the boys go batty!
Here's the TRICK I would love to share with you all:

Explore different shapes when making a card or project by downloading FREE TEMPLATES such as the birdhouse one I used from here. Once you print and cut out your template, use your favorite papers or even fabrics! Mix and match! Paint, cut, glue, distress ink! It's up to you! Also, don't be afraid to use black and white patterns, then use your makers/pencils/inks to add your own color choices (I used Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Walnut Stain Distress Inks).

There are many great free templates at Stampington's site! (Click on the "Tempting Templates" link on the left of their homepage) Explore and share as you wish! :)
Supplies: Gigi by Simply Betty Stamps, "Chills & Thrills" by Cosmo Cricket "Haunted" clear stamps/Black and White Paper by 7Gypsies & Pink paper by Basic Grey "basil/gah-2132"/Yellow hand stitches/Colored in Copics/Worn Lipstick, Broken China and Walnut Stain Distress Inks/Bat Charm/Diamond Stickles/Green Flower/Red Ribbon/Birdhouse Template from Stampington.

Thank You so much for stopping by! I hope you found it both Chilling & Thrilling! :)

Love,
Buttercup :) XOXO

Accordion Mamacita

Hello Everybody!

I am excited to share this little Paper Clay Creation I made in the image of my Mother as a toddler musician. This image is inspired by a picture I have of her when she was four years old, sitting on a couch in the 1950's, playing her accordion to her heart's content. The joy on her face in this candid shot makes me laugh every time.

Happy Birthday, Mom! And enjoy your custom-made-by-me-doll. :)

Supplies: "Accordion" found from doll store, all else made by me :) using Creative Paper Clay and Acrylic Paints.

"If Music Be the Food of Love, Play On" ~Shakespeare

P.S. My mom's teeth look nothing like this doll's teeth :) The magic of imperfection when art doesn't quite imitate life :) Still cute though, right?

Thank You & Goodnight/day :)

Love,
Buttercup xo

Halloween Tree Ornaments with Tiddly Ink's

Hello & Welcome :) Sometimes it's best to keep things simple. With images as cute and interesting as Christy Croll's for Tiddly Ink's, it's easy to let them, these characters do the talking :)

Pictured are 3 Halloween Tree Ornaments I made with "Alice", "Gothic Lady" and "Halloween Avenger" Digi Stamps by Tiddly Ink's which you may find here.

Our Challenge this week is to create any project you would like, using your Tiddly Ink's Digis, in a HALLOWEEN THEME. Yay for Halloween! I just love October. The feel in the air, the change of the leaves (if we had any leaves to see change) and the excitement of the days to come when we get to dress up like good and bad boys and ghouls!

Enjoy looking around, stay awhile on my little blog if you like. But most of all, know I am grateful for your gaze :)

Love,
Buttecup :) xoxo

Mr. Skellie: A Paper Clay Project :)

Today I enjoyed a super fun "Spooky Skellie Sculpting Workshop" with the Polka Dot Pixie. Pictured here is my very first Mr. Skellie. Below you can see him with one of his good friends made by a fellow artist :)

The instructions are top secret but I do urge you to play with Paper Clay! I hope to make many more creatures and critters to share with you. When I come up with my own recipe, you better believe I will share with you all!

Jenny Adams Hernandez, The Polka Dot Pixie herself, assured me it's not about perfection. It's about character. So have fun making things out there! Learn to love your mistakes and make magic out of them!

Have fun. Have a sense of humor. And dance with a cane. After all is said and done, we're just a bag of bones. Or ashes. Or diamonds. Or mummies. So, until then, EXPLORE & Enjoy the journey. And Thanks for being apart of mine :) xoxo Love, Buttercup :)

Willow Haunting About!

Once in a Blue Moon, Willow glides about the graveyard. Is she paying her respects? Or perhaps, paying someone back? Blood splattered on the tombstone. Bats flee the scene. She floats along. Strangely serene. Too pretty to be too mean. Or, is she? What Willow, have you done? Please tell us, was it all in good fun? Or, should we call the cops?

This beautiful gal was very fun to color in and glitter up! She is one of the new characters from Tickled Pink Stamps. Please play along in the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenges. It's just for fun! Why not?

This Ghost Willow image will be Released October 9th! Play along for your chance to win THIS IMAGE!!! Yay!!! Good Luck!!!

SUPPLIES: "Ghost Willow" from Tickled Pink Stamps, "Splatter Long" by Stampotique/ Colored in Copics & Distress Inks/"Fancy Gothic Arch #1" by Roni Johnson Ink Stains from here.
