Fabby Friday Arch Card with Alison the Witch!

Hello Craft Enthusiasts!  Hello Lovers of Hand-made cards and the like!  Thank You for stopping by today!!!  Happy Fabby Friday with Tiddly Inks!

Alison the Witch.  You've heard about her.  She's a gentle soul but seems to possess supernatural powers.  She communicates with birds.  She has some sort of charm no one can resist.  If you ask me, she's a good witch, Alison.  Alison the Witch!

In the above card, she can be seen communicating with a bird as she hovers near a Twisted Tree.  If there were to be a movie about her, I imagine Nicole Kidman would play her, at least in my version.  And the bird would be played by Johnny Depp…or Kevin Spacey..or maybe even Rylan Clark.

Materials Used:
Black Cardstock, Spider Patterned Paper
"Happy Halloween" cling stamp
Green Twine
Purple Paper Roses
3 kinds of washi tape
stickles
bat, spider and pumpkin confetti
Glossy Accents (for spiders, bats, and ribbon on hat)
Purple Distress Ink
White Pen
scrap of old lace over the orange spider paper

Hello and Welcome!!!

Thank You so much for stopping by today! Visitors are the best!

"Building Queen Wryn" is a relatively new digital image from Tiddly Inks!  She is so adorable with her building gear!  I don't know about you but I feel comfortable in a tool belt with some power tools!  *drill drill!* What could Wryn be building?  A tree house, an abstract sculpture or perhaps a brighter future for all of us?  I think "Yes, yes and YES!"  Build all of it Wryn!  Build it all!

I hope your day is full of happy grateful thoughts which create happy grateful experiences today!  Daily trials and tribulations can become overwhelming but just know, "When you become the architect of your own life, that's when the magic happens!!!" That's a loosely paraphrased quote from RuPaul!!!  (Or at least, that's where I heard it).  So please know, change is possible.  It's just up to us to construct it and we are, each in our own way.  :)

I wish you a day full of giving and receiving love and the confidence to create the day of your dreams!

If so inclined, please join us in the Tiddly Ink's Challenge Blog!  Our current challenge is to create a new make using a Tiddly Image and kraft paper!!! Fun City!

A Very Tiddly Inks Thank You!!!

Hello Lovely People of the Universe!  Welcome to today's post which is an Anything Goes make using a fabulous Tiddly Inks' image!!!

In every moment, we can choose gratitude.  I made this card to represent my gratitude for a friend's birthday gift.  I am at an age where birthday gifts are not quite required.  In other words, I am not five nor am I twenty one.  I am a combination of the two and then some! ;) If a friend thinks of me enough to purchase a gift for my birthday, this is MAJOR!  So major, that I just may make a handmade "thank you" card for such an event!

Foxer Upper!!! So cute!!!

Hello and Thank You for visiting me today!

Isn't this image "Foxer Upper" just the cutest??  I must admit, I have not bandaged up a fox, but I have rescued one or two baby lizards from inside of my house!  Tonight I even did just exactly that.  You know the drill.  Clear cup.  Stiff piece of paper.  Cover lizard with cup and shimmy that paper while being ever so gentle as not to damage the little lizard legs.  Then BOOK IT to the front door where FREEDOM and (also predators) await.  But hopefully mostly just freedom :)

It's a beautiful act, isn't it?  When we notice, first of all, we do need to notice that someone is in need.  We see the look on their face.  The slump of their shoulders.  We hear the tone of their voice.  The pause they take before speaking.  Because we are observant, we give them the appropriate amount of space before diving in and helping them heal.  Friends.  Strangers.  Family.  Foxes.  Sometimes we are the bandager and sometimes we are the wounded.  But mostly we're probably both.  Always both.  In need of a bandaid while bandaging someone who is moreso…

My Mom is a helper. I have been driving in my little honda civic with her when she notices a lady slip on a puddle on the sidewalk and to the side of the road we pull over, so she can be an angel to this lady in need who is temporarily paralyzed, her arm broken behind her back, her body contorted as we wait and give her shade in the hot Arizona sun, for the professionals to arrive.

It amazes me how some people just stand around and watch a person in need.  We all react differently in distress.  Some freeze.  Because I was raised by a woman who knows not the word "freeze" but instead lives a life of "I must help now", that's what I saw growing up, so that's what I do, and I am also grateful for others who do so too.  Hold someone's hand.  Ask them their name.  Make small talk.  All of these little tiny acts help hearts in big, huge ways when someone is in pain, visible or otherwise.

Whether you are the wounded fox or the Foxer Upper, I hope you know that you are loved, and are helping others just by being you!  Woo-hoo!!!

Ok, so I got off on a tangent there and forgot to list my materials, here they are:

Colored in Copics
Sizzix Die Cut
Stickles
Blue Metallic Marker
Melted Chocolate Dylusions Paint for Edges
Buttons, Paper Flowers, Burlap String
White Pen

School Rules with Annie from Tiddly Inks!

Hello and Welcome to today's post!

Being fortunate to have experienced elementary school, high school, community college and a state university, I have appreciated what each of those experiences has given me.  Above all else, I have learned to work well with others and to ask for help or clarification when necessary.  Those are simple lessons and may not be a subject taken in school, but those are a couple of the lessons I still value to this day!  And spelling!  And grammar!  And also, breaking all of the rules in the name of humor and freedom!  ;)

Since I currently have no little ones who will be attending school, I didn't have the need to make a "Back to School" card exactly…but every day can be a day to learn…so here it is! My little shaped card with a quote from Michelangelo…I believe he was in his elder years when he said, "I am still learning."

Materials Used:

Colored in Copics
Hand written with Zebra  G Nib calligraphy nib & Yasutomo Traditional Chinese Ink
Colored in Copics
Black Dylusions Paint for edges
Black and White thread for stitching
white marker
sequins
Tim Holtz Paper
Black ink for doodles

Here's to another day of being open to life's lessons!  :)

Thank You for stopping by!  I wish you and all of us a life of continuous learning!

Love,

Fairy Tender Hearted Shaped Easel Card!

Hello Everyone!

I must say, one of the main attractions to card making and paper crafting in general is all of the positive messages we get to share!  100% of the projects I see share a sweet message or a positively poignant phrase.  Life is so precious.  Finding a stamp or an image that speaks to life's precious moments makes card making so valuable to me.  It's the reason I love Tiddly Ink's images and card making.  When we craft we focus on the good things  or on supporting a friend in need.  It's because we love, we craft!

Fairy Tenderhearted  is a delightful digi by Tiddly Inks.  This image is so sweet.  She reminds me of my family's love of birds.

Materials Used:

Metallic Silver Marker for Hair
Die Cut

Have a Heart Challenge!

Hello Everyone and WELCOME to this week's challenge which is themed: "Have a Heart!"  I know if you are a crafter or artist of any kind, you most definitely have a heart!  Why not share a little of it with us in this super fun challenge?

This theme instantly made me think of Wryn Have a Heart!  I have this image in a cling stamp and I absolutely love it!  For this card, I stamped Wryn on watercolor paper so I could experiment with copics and with delusions paints!  What fun!  The sentiment is from a Trevor Hall song which goes, "Love All, Serve All and Create No Sorrow".  I just love that.

Materials:
Copics
Dylusions Paints
White Uniball Pen
Die Cuts

Sweet Dreams of Sugar Plum Fairies!

Hello Everyone!

Here is a card I made using THREE, count 'em THREE Tiddly Ink's Images!  The images I used include Sweet Dreams Wryn, Sugar Plum Fairy and the winged heart is from the Sugar and Spice stamp set!

I decided to make a little scene because I had this fun window die cut to use and I like the idea of multiple characters in one card!

Sweet Dreams Wryn is such a great image.  I am fan of reading in bed.  Currently, I'm reading The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer.  It's a refreshing read about being open to accepting love and support from others.  You may have to zoom in to see it but I did title Wryn's book, "Art of Asking" :)

Materials Used:
Sweet Dreams Wryn by Tiddly Inks
Sugar Plum Fairy by Tiddly Inks
Copics
Crushed Paint and Postbox Red Dylusions Paint
Stickles
Glossy Accents
White Marker

Magical Friendship Painted Card!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you have been having a lovely week!  I would love to share this card I made using Magical Friendship by Tiddly Inks!  This image is so sweet and is such a treat to color!  The image is colored in copics with a painted background.  I had fun with Dyan Reaveley's paints!  They are fun to work with because the pigment is vibrant and yet they dry fast so you can stamp, write or doodle right on top of them!

I hope you have a magical friendship, whether it be with a mermaid, merman or human!  I am lucky to have a couple of magical friendships myself.

This is my first Easel Card EVER!  I was intimidated at first, but ended up loving the process so much, I have now made a total of 3 easel cards!!!  I can't stop it!  It's so Easel-y! ;)

Bathing Beauty is on of my most favorite Tiddly images!  She is so classy with her vintage bathing suit and cap!  I adore her!

In addition to Bathing Beauty, I used white paper, Dylusions Paint & Stencils, a whale image from a Trader Joe's Ginger Beer box, Walnut Distress Inks-so if you think it's dirty, that was the "look" I was going for! lol Please see below for a more detailed list of supplies!
