Angelic Fab Friday Wishes

Angelic Wishes you all a peaceful day full of ease and grace! Ah!  Wouldn't that be nice?

As 2016 is coming to a close, it feels like a whirlwind on my end.  Holidays are speeding by.  Workloads are increasing.  Time with friends is scarce.  Time feels hurried.  And yet somehow, for some reason, I get to create little cards for the Tiddly Ink's Design Team.  How fun it has been!

Thank You for supporting me on this journey, thank you for checking in and for leaving an occasional comment.  Your encouragement inspires me and is appreciated.

This little card is for our Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks!

Thank You for stopping by!

Kapow Challenge Easel Card!!!

Avenger-Candy Hero storms through the streets on Halloween!  She collects friends, treats and spooktacular stares!!!  She is a lover of all things Frightfully Halloween!!!  She shares her treats with the spirits she meets along the way.  She knows this world is just one to walk and play through, it's not a place to stay.  So in the mean time, "Give you candy away!" she says.  Plus, her Mom's a dentist and she tells her that too.

Please know you are formally invited to join in the Kapow! Challenge which is to create a new make using a Tiddly Ink's Image in the theme of "Kapow!".  This may mean a caped or masked or heroic image of some sort!

Have fun!!!

Here are Hero lyrics by Mariah Carey to inspire you!!!!  Woo-hoo!

There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
It's a long, road
When you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt
Will disappear
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone
Tear them away
Hold on
There will be tomorrow
In time you'll find the way
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
That a hero lies in you
That a hero lies in you

Thank You so much for stopping by!!!

Happy Halloween and Hero-ing!!!

Happy ANYTHING GOES with Tiddly Inks!!!

This is Molly's Cup of Love!  How many times have you bonded with a dear friend over a Cup of Coffee?  Hot chocolate?  A good meal?  Those moments when we actually sit down beside each other, or across from each other, or diagonal even, those are precious times!!!

Last night I was HONORED to have a friend call me up needing some advice on politeness.  You see, she had sort of lead someone to believe she may be able to meet up when in fact, circumstances had changed and she was no longer interested.  So, I said, "Just say, listen b****, lol, nope." And that was that.  Haha.  Only half kidding.  Being in a situation in which you have to reject someone is not fun, but often necessary.  It makes me think of that song, "You gotta be cruel to be kind".  And if someone feels they are wasting their time being in my presence, shoo fly shoo! Life is SO SHORT, and having friends and loved ones you enjoy being around is the place to be!  Sure, sometimes you might have to hang out with less desirable options but if there's a choice, be where the love is!

Feel free to join in our Anything Goes Challenge where EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO PLAY!!!! Provided, of course, you use a Tiddly Ink Image and a new make!

        Happy Crafting!!!!!!!

Mermaid Bookmark!

Splish splash!  *Bubble* *Bubble*  Swim Swim!

Is it reading time?  Is it swimming time?  With this bookmark, you could do both!  Or maybe just IMAGINE doing both!  Yeah, that's the ticket!

This little bookmark featuring Amy and Her Mini Mermaid Friends is such a cute, quick project to put together!  With a couple pieces of washi tape, some stickles and some fun black marker designs, this baby is ready to gift into a book or to use for my own self! Oh yes!

I would love to be swimming now but this mermaid has rehearsal tonight honey!  Yep yep!

I hope your night is full of the perfect amount of swimming!  Even if that just means taking a shower, it counts!  Us mermaids need our water!

I hope this project reminds me that there are no gifts too small for the gifting!  Bookmarks are cute and functional!

Happy Crafting!!!!

Happy Fabby Friday with Molly!

It's Molly!  She is a fashionista who is ready to take on the world!  Don't you just love hats and wish you wore them more?  I do!  Hats make me think of horse races, my cowboy of a Grandpa (may he rest in peace), and sports!  They can be FANCY or CASUAL!  Functional or fashionable!  Sometimes both!  I might not have many occasions to wear such fancy hats, but Molly here sure does!

I bet she is on her way to pet an peacock, pick out pretty jewels or teach some neighborhood kids geography!  Doesn't she look sharp and fancy?

This little card is for our Fabby Friday at Tiddly Inks!  It's an attempt to inspire you to create something, very possibly with Tiddly Inks digis!  Christy's images are so fun to color up and can be used for so many occasions!

I would love to stay and chat but it has been a doozy of a week and I am plum-tuckered out.

Thank You so much for blogging by and checking out this little Molly make here!

Happy Creating!!!

Love.

Back to School with Tiddly!!!

Here is my make for the Back to School Challenge at Tiddly Inks!  I used the School Girl digi!  There she is, carrying her books in a high, heavy heap!!!  I remember those days!  I enjoy reading but mostly these days, it's just scripts-or blogs!  This little image is making me want to get back to some hardback books and take my time with it.

Have you entertained yourself with a good book lately?  If so, please let me know the title and author in the comments!  I'm reading The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer.  It's about an artist who asked her fans for funding (before crowd funding was a thing) and they responded with "Yes and here's more!".  How cool is that?

After a performance this past week, I was carrying three huge bags back to my car and a nice young man asked if he could help.  For some reason, I don't know why, I said, "No thanks, I got it" and I clumsily carried everything out on my own.  Why? I don't know.  Accepting help would have made more sense but sometimes, thinking to ask or accept help is foreign to me.  That's something I need to work on.  Being open and accepting of help.

As many people are starting a new semester, a new school year, new classes,  I'll start a commitment to myself, to chill out and take a helping hand every once in a while.  We are in this together.  Life is a collaboration.  Giving others the opportunity to help us takes a different kind of strength.  A humble strength.

I'll challenge myself to ask for what I want more!  Even typing that made me nervous but it's out in the blogesphere so I'll be accountable!

Well, whatever kind of classes you are starting, whether in a large university or just a class of one involving self improvement, know that we are in this together.  Suffering in silence is no good.  Let it out and ask for help.  Unless you don't need any help.  In that case, ask for a double helping of help! lol

Thank You for stopping by!!!!

Buttercup xoxo

Anything Goes with Shy Violet!!!

She's SPUNKY!  She's funky!  She really likes monkeys!  She might not say, "Hi" but she's not rude, she's just SHY!  Say "Hiiiiieeeeyyy!" to Shy Violet! hahaha

Oh Yes, this girl is no Shrinking Violet, oh no, she's just a little bit shy!

I can be shy too.  Unless you meet me on a stage or at work, I am reserved in the worlds in between.  So basically in my car.  Yes, in my car I'm pretty quiet. :)

This little card is for the Anything Goes Post this week!  I used the digi stamp Shy Violet because she may be quiet, but you can tell she is one fierce flower!

We all have many sides!  We are diamonds baby!  I hope you learn to love all of your fascinating facets, from your quiet shy side to your verbose, sassy side!  Each personality aspect serves a purpose to help us heal and reveal our best selves.

Thank You for stopping by!!!

From one Sometimes Shy/Sometimes Sassy Gal to another,  my wish for you is to face yourself and embrace yourself <3 p="">

Since the beginning of time, (or of my time on Earth), I have LOVED mermaids!  I've even dressed up as a mermaid in my real life!  What what?  I know!  I'm basically as awesome as people get…people who love mermaids! lol

This little digi by Tiddly Inks is just precious!!!!

Shy Violet has Fun in the Sun!

Oh Sunshine, isn't it miraculous?  Sure, the Moon is fabulous too, but the Suuuuuunnnn!  It gives us Vitamin D, happiness, warmth, food energy, precipitation and light! It  is the reason our gardens grow!  The Sun is that special star that is always up there, working, giving, sharing and caring, even on the days we neglect to acknowledge it, it's STILL there giving us LIFE!  Amaze-balls!

Oh and this little character on my card?  Shy Violet, she knows ALL about Sun worshipping!  If it wasn't for the Sun, there would be no Violets or life as we know it.  Isn't that amazing?  I have no idea HOW the world works, how humans breathe air and live on Earth, but one thing is for sure.  It's a miracle.  You are a miracle.  I am a miracle.  Your weird neighbor is a miracle.

So why did I make this little miracle of a card?  As if you didn't already know, it's for the Tiddly Ink Design Challenge which is to create an image using a Tiddly Ink's digi or stamp, in the theme of "Summer Sun"!  My mind immediately went to a beach theme but I resisted the urge and chose to celebrate flowers instead!  But don't think I don't love beach themed cards, oh I do!  I just wanted to venture into flower land!

Today, first of all, Thank You for showing up and checking my little blog out!  I appreciate your interest and comments more than you will ever know!  :)  And second of all, why not acknowledge the Sun today?  We can't give the Sun a high-five or a fist bump but we can feel how grateful we are in our hearts for all the Sun does.  Sure, when we are unprepared it might burn us or melt our popsicle but for the most part, the Sun is an alright star if you ask me!

Know you are always Welcome to join in the Tiddly Ink's Challenges!

Have so much fun, know you CAN and you DO make a difference in the world just by being YOU!  You could be the Sun in someone's personal solar system and not even KNOW it!  Isn't that cool?  So, Shine Bright, go forth and spread the light!

Love,

Buttercup xoxo

Anything Goes with Gossmere!

Hello and Welcome!!!

It's the gorgeous Gossmere!  Her tattered dress and sparkly crown are just a few of her fancy fashion accoutrements!  She is a girl who likes to dress up, play with dolls and sport an up-do!  Wa-hoo!

What do you like to wear to feel FANCY?  If I want to be fancy, I'll go for lipstick (a must), earrings and maybe a bracelet.  In my daily life, I am not much of a jewelry person.  I work with paints and all kinds of messes so I steer clear of the jewels most days.

Gossmere is one of my favorite Tiddly Ink's images!  She is a classic beauty who seems imaginative and fun!!!

I hope you found some inspo here!!!  Isn't that a word now?  Inspo?  Well, I hope it is!

Love,

Thanks a Latte, digi by Tiddly Inks!

Hello, Hello and Welcome to today's Fabulous Friday Post!!!

For this art journal page, I used some Ink Sprays by Dylusions, cling stamps, rubber stamps, confetti, washi tape and of course, the Thanks a Latte, digi by Tiddly Inks!

I hope this page inspires you to take some time to sit with a friend, be it on the phone, on the couch, or across the table.  And if you friend has moved beyond this world, don't be afraid to talk to them!  Write them a letter!  Or celebrate their life in any small way you so desire!

Flamingos Greet Bathing Beauty!

She's not afraid of getting her feet wet!  This girl is all about soaking up that Vitamin D, even the flamingos find her friendly!  She's chillin' at the beach, she's Bathing Beauty!

As far back as I can remember, I myself have loved the water!  The swimming pool, the lake, the beach, the bathtub!…swimming until I was absolutely famished, in need of some mac n' cheese!  I remember how tight and sun kissed my freckled face felt, and how freezing my goose bumped skin was when it was time to go back inside, into the air conditioning.  Ahh…memories!

Although this image does remind me of my own swimming adventures, she also makes me think of my Grandmother!  Mi abuela Rosalina rocked a hair style and a fashion very similar to this image!

Well, hello by the way and thank you for stopping by!  My wish for you today is that you enjoy wherever water is present in your day!  May that be in washing your face, feeling the rain, or watering your garden, I hope you are lucky enough to experience the wonder that is water!  The human body is about 50%-75% water so, there's that to be grateful for too!  Yay water!

Happy Fabby Friday!!!

Love,

Whoops Gets FAB!

Happy Fabby Friday Everyone!

I hope today finds you full of gratitude, if just for one tiny thing! :)  Sometimes, being grateful for just one tiny thing is enough to turn your inside frown into a happy heart!  Cheesy alert! :)

Have you seen Whoops?  She's the retired Tiddly Ink's Image on my card.  She got all dolled up, put on her red boots, just to drop two scoops of ice-cream on the ground.  Hey girl, it happens to us all.  I feel your pain.  In events such as the afore mentioned, I try to be grateful for my one scoop, knowing there are people out there who have no scoops.  To everyone with no scoops, I wish to scoop you all up in my orangutan arms and give you all the ice-cream you so desire.  <3 and="" beyond="" literally="" metaphorically="" p="">
In the event you wish to explore the fun world of Tiddly, please check out the Challenge Blog HERE!

I think we are all here to help, heal, create and to inspire!  My wish is that you feel some kind of way and act accordingly!  If nothing I say makes sense, blame it on my espresso smoothie and know my intentions are well meaning :)

Enjoy your weekend and hug & love the ones your heart sings for!

Grace's Wish to Pause

Grace's Wish

"Learn to pause…or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you."  This sentiment from a Tim Holtz cling stamp collection holds an important message.  Many of us glorify being "busy" and in doing so, may miss out on the beauty that is constantly surrounding us.  Beauty may be appreciated in a smile, a kind gesture from a stranger, a friend's laugh, a nice breeze, a pretty sunset or whatever beauty may mean to you.

This card with the Tiddly Ink's digi, Grace's Wish captures those beautiful quiet moments where we choose to pause, take it all in and move forward with grace :)

Please feel free to join in any of the Tiddly Ink's Challenges here or to just browse the digi and cling stamp collection at the Tiddly Ink's Shop here!

Materials Used: Grace's Wish digi, cling stamp sentiment and flourishes by Tim Holtz, dies, distress inks, copic sketch markers, black paint by delusions and black bow.

Thank You for stopping by and Happy Fabby Friday!!!

Love is a Tiddly Challenge!

Hello and Welcome to my little Strawberry Road Blog!

This week we are challenged to create a new make in the theme of LOVE!  When I think of love, of course I imagine hugs and kisses and heart to hearts…but I also see heart shapes, reds, pinks and lots of GLITTER!

This little easel card is made with heart die cuts, copics, Annie a digi by Tiddly Inks (which may have been a freebie at one point?), a foam heart sticker, some washi tape, black marker, sentiment cling stamps and diamond stickles!

Thank You so much for stopping by!!!

Check out the challenge blog here and please have fun joining in our challenges!!!

Share the love!

I know you've heard it, Gratitude is the Best Attitude!  I sure do agree!  There's always someone to thank for lending an ear, a smile, a hug, a cup o' joe or something, right?!

The Challenge at Tiddly Ink this week is to create a make in the spirit of "Thanks" or "Thank You"!

Pinky Punker Pays Tribute

Quote reads: "I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise, it won't be boring." -David Bowie

Hello and Welcome to by Strawberry Road Blog 2016!!!!!!!!

I am thrilled to be on the Tiddly Design Team for another round!  What a creative bunch of ladies and not only that, but what a stellar group of participants who join in the challenges!  I LOVE seeing what you all come up with while using Christy's amazing images!!!

The card I made here pays tribute to Mr. David Bowie.  Labyrinth is to this day-one of my top 5 favorite movies!!!  He will always be the Goblin King to me!  Since my mom saw him live in the early 1970's in California, she is a life long fan and Bowie and because of her love of his music, I have been watching him on youtube these last couple of days.  I must admit, his music is out of this world and I love it!!!

I hope you embrace the strange, your inner artist and may you have the courage to reinvent yourself and make bold changes if it be your heart's desire!

Materials:
Copic Sketch Markers
Scallop Frame Die Cut by Sizzix
Washi Tape
White Paint by Dylusions
Hole Punch
Stickles

Anything Goes with Tiddly Inks!

Yes, it is a New Year and yes!  I still have one more Christmas card to share!

This is a little easel card I made using a Tiddly Inks digital image named "Christmas Pixie"!  I fear this cute little digi may be discontinued on the site but I made this card before realizing that.  Oopsy!  Why not start the year our with a faux pas!?

Please feel free to join in any of the Tiddly Ink challenges here!

For the chance to win a $15 code for the store , make anything you fancy at all using a Tiddly Inks image or stamp. When you post your make on your personal blog, instagram or our facebook page , post it using the hashtag...
