We have another HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT for you today. Announcing our 2nd annual "CARDS FOR A CAUSE" event!

Last year you really brought us to tears and smiles on our faces with our 1st card drive. Due to it's success, we are rallying the troops again for a 2nd one and well, we're making it ANNUAL!

This year, we were moved beyond measure with so many emotions for the people of Japan as we watched live video of the earthquakes and tsunami that devastated so many people on March 11, 2011. It broke my heart to see videos of families in shelters, children looking terrified and not understanding what happened. Some of those families lost everything and when our loyal TGF customer Natalie Shaw emailed me a link to a school that we could send in handmade encouragement cards for children, we knew this was going to be something TGF wanted to be involved in! Our images are PERFECT to cheer up a child and we really hope you will play along!

Please view the tabbed page on the TGF Blog entitled "Cards for a Cause" for all the information on how YOU can help...and possibly, WIN some serious loot from TGF! PLEASE JOIN US!

As for 'loot' today, well, you know the drill! ONE lucky commenter who completes the hop and comes back to the TGF Blog to leave a comment will be drawn to WIN the ENTIRE May Release!

Without any further adieu, here is the order of our Farmers' BLOG HOP for release day:

You will have until 11:59 pm CST TONIGHT to comment and become a follower and we will happily announce the winner tomorrow morning on the TGF Blog!

GOOD LUCK, ENJOY and HAPPY RELEASE DAY, everyone!!!

P.S.
If you have any questions about my card or technique, you may email me at buttercupblogs at gmail dot com.

Love,

Buttercup :) xo

A Colorful Card for a Colorful Friend!

Hello & Welcome!

I can't tell you how happy I am to get to work with my Stampotique Stamps today! A very unique coworker of mine is about to embark on a new journey. She's moving to Oregon! And for this special lady, I had to make a fun card in the colors which most represent her: Earthy tones! She is a big fan of turquoise (she thinks it makes her look tan?), browns, grays and greens. "Karen", the image from the Stampotique's rubber stamp image shown here, is just so funny and slightly scary with her wide grin! I love her!

It can be a bummer when our friends leave. But most of all, it's inspiring! To see people make bold life choices, to see them pick up and explore, is quite wonderful indeed! It makes me think of that Dr. Suess book, "Oh, The Places You'll Go" :) Have you read that book?

SUPPLIES: "Karen" & sentiment by Stampotique/Copic Markers/Distress Inks/3 leaves/heart button/3 eyelets/ Diamond Stickles/Oh! And below, check out this Vellum Envelope! I think they are way cool and add a little something. Also, the wax seal may be seen from the envelopes back side.

Thank You so much for blogging by! I hope you explore a while, and find something which inspires you!

If you have any specific technique questions, you may email me at buttercupblogs at gmail dot com.

Have a Beautiful Day!

Love,
Buttercup :) xo

Designer Spotlight with Buttercup

Hello Everyone!

Farmer Buttercup here! I work as a handmade sign artist during the day, and a theatre and performance artist at night! Voice Over work, artistically directing, writing & acting are a few of the jobs I am so grateful to have! I love creating in all mediums with all kinds of people! :)

I remember when I first saw an image of a Greeting Farm stamp. It was in a craft magazine at the bookstore. Someone had made an adorable card with the Anya "Rain, Snow, Shine" collection. I was immediately in love with the cute simplicity of the Anyas! I ran home, (this was about a year ago), found The Greeting Farm's website, and spent way too much money!!! :) Since then, I have looked forward to the little white bubble wrapped envelopes in the mail as often as possible! :)

One of the reasons I enjoy working and creating cards with TGF SO MUCH, is because there are so many characters that can represent ANYone you might make a card for! There are boys, girls, teenagers, fathers, grandparents, funky friends, sassy girls-they're ALL here! I love the range from the sweet Anyas to the funky Creepers to the sassy Cheeky collection! They are so lovable and just make me smile! If I had to pick a favorite, I would say it's a tie between The Cheeky Collection, Sweet & Toxic and Syren!

Now, I'm going to share with you one of my FIRST TGF CARDS EVER! Please keep in mind this was BEFORE I knew how to color, before I ever even heard about Copics, it was my first attempt at this card making business I have since learned to love!

Thank You so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy The Greeting Farm's images as much as I do, and that what you create puts a smile on not only your face, but someone else's as well! :)

Have a Beautiful Week!!!

Love,

Proud-to-be-a-Farmer, Buttercup :) xoxo
