Today, for my card I used Creeper "Jill"! Her serious stance is something I connect with! She looks so feisty, like a young lady who's not afraid to scowl :D Sometimes, we ladies need to make serious faces! We're thinking about something! Or maybe, letting you know we are not pleased! Regardless, Jill is thinkin' Someone is her "kind of cool" and that cute sentiment along with her sass, makes for a fun combo!

Preview of Cheeky Beach with TGF ;)

Hello & Welcome!

Please enjoy the sunshine, the flowers and of course, the Bathing Beauty! Here we have "Cheeky Beach" by The Greeting Farm. This girl knows how to chilax! She be chillin' and relaxin', beach ball in hand, ready for the beach and fun times on the sand! She is also "spring ready" with her very "in" fashion trends: The color orange is very in this Spring, as is purple eyeshadow! If you don't know, now you know! And of course, natural wavy hair is Always in! :)

This fab layout is by Jennifer Shultz! Isn't it fun!? I decided to turn it on it's side for a different look.

HAIR COLOR INFO: First, I colored her hair just as I would if I were to color her hair black. Using Copics C9, C7, C5, C3 while leaving the paper white where I want the highlight to show. Then I colored R39 Garnet over ALL OF THE HAIR! And it made it a rich, deep red! There you have it! The secret is out! Now color away! :D

Terrifically Textured FFF with TGF!

Welcome to another Farm Fresh Friday with your host, Buttercup, that's me :) featuring one of the gorgeous "Hat's Off Anya's" by The Greeting Farm!

This week, Farmer Tanya challenges us to use 2-3 textures! They can be anything from flower soft, embossings, 3D effects, fabrics, anything you would like to use!

For my Terrifically Textured Card, I created textures by crinkling and making paper flowers, glimmering them up with some diamond stickles, repurposing some tulle-like fabric which actually came from a bouquet of roses, red pom pom trim to create some fun and softness and some polka dot ribbon to add just another touch of texture. I always try to incorporate metal or something hard in my cards, and often choose to leave it out because it might look too heavy or thick. But today, I went with the brightly colored metal clip because it added a little playfulness without looking too ornate.

This card is for a very special lady and I can't wait to give it to her!!!!

Melon Mambo, Aqua Mist & Your Choice Color Challenge FFF with TGF :)

Hello Everyone!!!

Have you ever heard of such colors as "Raspberry Fizz", "Melon Mambo" or "Aqua Mist"? I must admit, before this week, I hadn't either! But my oh my what fun, girly colors they are! The Greeting Farm's "Farm Fresh Friday" Challenge this week is to use these two colors, PLUS ONE of your choice! I decided to go with Baby Pink as my third color! Yes, I snuck a little black and lavender in there! But for the most part, it's Melon Mambo, Aqua Mist and Baby Pink, don't 'cha think?

In this card, I used the most fabulous Stella by The Greeting Farm. I love her wide eyed little look and the fact that she is holding a heart-sealed envelope! Like many of you, I love sending handwritten notes to my friends and family! There's nothing sweeter than some handwritten heartfelt notes. Well, maybe a couple things! ;)

Just a Peak at My Queen of Hearts!

Hello & Welcome!

Here is my unfinished Paper Clay creation of The Queen of Hearts. The past few weeks I have been incredibly busy with work and rehearsals and I managed to squeeze in a Paper Clay Date with my mamacita! This is my first attempt at a Queen! As I have previously posted, I have made a fairy, skellies and snowmen, and now I can add this lady to the mix!

Just imagine her saying, "OFF WITH HER HEAD!"

I can't wait to paint her!!! It will be a while before I am able to do so, so please ENJOY her blankness now! :)

"Sew Adorable" FFF with TGF!

Hello & Welcome! The Farm Fresh Friday Challenge presented by The Greeting Farm this week, is to use some form of stitching on your card or project! You may use faux, hand or machine stitching.

The Prize for this week's challenge is Cheeky Howdy!

About My Card:

I hand-stitched the buttons, faux-stitched around the oval scallop using a black marker, and glued some red trim to create a hand-stitched look! You may use any of these techniques in your project!
