School Rules with Annie from Tiddly Inks!

Hello and Welcome to today's post!

Being fortunate to have experienced elementary school, high school, community college and a state university, I have appreciated what each of those experiences has given me.  Above all else, I have learned to work well with others and to ask for help or clarification when necessary.  Those are simple lessons and may not be a subject taken in school, but those are a couple of the lessons I still value to this day!  And spelling!  And grammar!  And also, breaking all of the rules in the name of humor and freedom!  ;)

Since I currently have no little ones who will be attending school, I didn't have the need to make a "Back to School" card exactly…but every day can be a day to learn…so here it is! My little shaped card with a quote from Michelangelo…I believe he was in his elder years when he said, "I am still learning."

Materials Used:

Colored in Copics
Hand written with Zebra  G Nib calligraphy nib & Yasutomo Traditional Chinese Ink
Colored in Copics
Black Dylusions Paint for edges
Black and White thread for stitching
white marker
sequins
Tim Holtz Paper
Black ink for doodles

Here's to another day of being open to life's lessons!  :)

Thank You for stopping by!  I wish you and all of us a life of continuous learning!

Love,

Buttercup xoxo

Fairy Tender Hearted Shaped Easel Card!

Hello Everyone!

I must say, one of the main attractions to card making and paper crafting in general is all of the positive messages we get to share!  100% of the projects I see share a sweet message or a positively poignant phrase.  Life is so precious.  Finding a stamp or an image that speaks to life's precious moments makes card making so valuable to me.  It's the reason I love Tiddly Ink's images and card making.  When we craft we focus on the good things  or on supporting a friend in need.  It's because we love, we craft!

Fairy Tenderhearted  is a delightful digi by Tiddly Inks.  This image is so sweet.  She reminds me of my family's love of birds.

Materials Used:
sentiment cling stamp by Heidi Swapp

Metallic Silver Marker for Hair

I hope you explore my posts and find some inspiration on my blog!  Have a fabulous day!

Have a Heart Challenge!

Hello Everyone and WELCOME to this week's challenge which is themed: "Have a Heart!"  I know if you are a crafter or artist of any kind, you most definitely have a heart!  Why not share a little of it with us in this super fun challenge?

This theme instantly made me think of Wryn Have a Heart!  I have this image in a cling stamp and I absolutely love it!  For this card, I stamped Wryn on watercolor paper so I could experiment with copics and with delusions paints!  What fun!  The sentiment is from a Trevor Hall song which goes, "Love All, Serve All and Create No Sorrow".  I just love that.

Materials:
Copics
Dylusions Paints
White Uniball Pen
Die Cuts

Thank You so much for blogging by!  I look forward to seeing your fruture projects! For info on Tiddly Ink's Design Challenge, please join us here!

Sweet Dreams of Sugar Plum Fairies!

Hello Everyone!

Here is a card I made using THREE, count 'em THREE Tiddly Ink's Images!  The images I used include Sweet Dreams Wryn, Sugar Plum Fairy and the winged heart is from the Sugar and Spice stamp set!

I decided to make a little scene because I had this fun window die cut to use and I like the idea of multiple characters in one card!

Sweet Dreams Wryn is such a great image.  I am fan of reading in bed.  Currently, I'm reading The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer.  It's a refreshing read about being open to accepting love and support from others.  You may have to zoom in to see it but I did title Wryn's book, "Art of Asking" :)

Materials Used:
Sweet Dreams Wryn by Tiddly Inks
Sugar Plum Fairy by Tiddly Inks
Copics
Crushed Paint and Postbox Red Dylusions Paint
Stickles
Glossy Accents
White Marker
little plastic oval frame
Paper Scraps

Thank You so much for stopping by!  I hope you find comfort reading, listening to podcasts or doing whatever it is which helps you to relax yet feel connected to love and creativity!
